Vehicle Detail

Ok, We've owned this Prius from Day 1. bought her new off the lot in Lancaster, Calif. O miles. All Maintenance has been done by the Toyota dealership, here and in Calif. which for the 1st 250000 miles was just oil/filter, cabin filter, tires and brakes. Car ran flawless, and was a 50 mpg car all the time. Best car we've ever owned. Last year, we got the "check engine" light. Ran the code, turned out to be the catalytic converter. Toyota wanted 2k plus to replace. I found an aftermarket online for 200 or so, had the local muffler shop install it for 50.00 bucks, and thought I got a smoking deal. 6 months later, light is back on for the same code. So, maybe not the deal. There was one "OEM" for 300 or so, and think I should have gone with that instead of trying to save a hundred bucks. Anyway, light is back on, with same code. Doesn't affect how the car runs, and we've quit driving it, but, I'm sure it will in the long run, so, will need to be attended to. About that time, the hybrid battery started failing, Toyota wanted 3k plus for a new one, so, found a company that would install one from a wrecked Toyota for 900.00 or so. So, jump to present day. Light is on for the catalytic converter. Hybrid battery is not very strong, and the 50 dollars for he catalytic converter from the local muffler shop??, well, we have a rattle (I thought it was an exhaust manifold leak) but after 200.00 Toyota told me what it was. Apparently their is an inner and outer exhaust tube, and they think the muffler shop broke the weld?? when he installed it on the cheap. Toyota wanted waaaaay too much to repair it, so, we're done. It's always been a great car. As you can see in the photo's it's ran over some road debri and chipped up the front bumper pretty good, and also, the rear plastic trim broke off, and we just taped it back up. All is plastic and easily replaced. Motor still is strong, brakes are great, trans is great, interior needs a good cleaning, but, that's all. everything works except the cd player ate our cd and never spit it back out. It maybe burned a quart of oil now between 5000 mile oil changes. the guy who replaced the battery says he's seen more than one (a few hybrid battery replacements) go past the 500k mark. Car has never been in an accident, has road chips and what I've described I'm posting is as a no reserve for the price of the battery, and I've tried to explain everything to the best of my knowledge. Clear title. On that note. "As is, Where is" Ok, to clarify. The rattle only comes up when you put your foot on it, that's why I initially thought it was an exhaust manifold leak, which is what Toyota thought originally too. they installed a new donut between the exhaust and the tubing for the tune of 200.00 plus before they figured out it was the inner tube. You can't hear it until you accelerate hard, then it's kind of a rattle and when you back off, it goes away. The reason I'm selling so cheap, is I'm sure there are more qualified folks out there, that can keep this car on the road. Not trying to make a buck, we've gotten plenty out of this car as it's been a wonderful car over the years. We just moved on.
