Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION THE GOOD: The body of this van is in very good condition, and this is the extended version. Window glass is all in good condition. The van had a fresh coat of paint from Maaco at a cost of $1500 less than a year ago. The engine is a 5.9 liter V8 and has less than 81,000 miles on it (as does the whole vehicle). I built wooden shelving in the back, but I have the original seats and they are included. Seating for all 15 passengers is there. The mechanics work well, except what is noted in the following two sections. Heat and air work fine, though I haven't used the air conditioning since last season. The van does have a tow package, and the hitch is included. THE BAD: The passenger side door does not open. The van "thinks" it is open, though, so when the headlights are turned on, the interior lights also come on. There is a small 1-1 1/2" tear in the driver side seat and the driver side mirror has a vertical crack. The rear view mirror came off, but is included. The levers for both the passenger and driver seats broke off, but all the arm rests are there. THE UGLY: The reason we are selling this van is that it is no longer safe for our family to drive in its current condition. The rust on the frame got so bad that one of the rods connected to the driver side front tire literally rusted off. Up until that, this was a regular driver for us. We took it 2 1/2 hours up north just last week. The worst pictures of rust that you see, where the frame is rusted through, are of both sides of the front. Because of the frame rust, I would recommend that this car be purchased for parts only - and there are a lot of great parts here, not the least of which is a V8 engine with less than 81,000 miles on it. If you decide to repair the frame and have the expertise to do so, that's on you. There is no warranty, expressed or implied. Vehicle is sold as is, where is, and is currently located in Berkley, MI. Vehicle will need to be picked up within a week of the sale date, with payment in cash only. Clear title. We are the third owner, and this was a church van before my family purchased it.
