I bought the VW back in 2001. It was restored/customized this year as well, 2001. At the time, there was no expense spared. 98 BMW yellow, 98 BMW cloth on the retractable top. The front fenders are two inches wider than factory. The rear fenders are three inches wider than factory. The gauges are white VDO gauges. The interior is white vinyl, yet it feels and looks just like leather. The engine has a 110 cam. It has two Kadron carburetors. They’ll either need to be rebuilt, or replaced. I wish I had gone with Weber instead. Perhaps one single carburetor, a four barrel, instead of the dual carbs. It has BFGoodrich tires. Those with the yellow stripes. It has Fittipaldi wheels, and disk on the front. This beetle has been sitting in storage for five years. It’s going to need some TLC. I have put in over $22,000 on the restoration/customization alone. I have been a bundle on storage fees as well, so it is now time to let it go. I am disabled, and I’m unable to drive the car. The card is not right now. Again, I believe the carb gaskets have dry rotted. Laynesworld@Bulloch.net
