Vehicle Detail

This was purchased new in 1971 by its previous owner who used it on a small ranch. ALL of the 1,295 miles on the speedometer were off road on the ranch! The work I've done includes: New tires (still have rubber nubs on the sidewalls)New peg rubbersNew fork bootsAll new engine sealsNew spark plugNew drive chainNew float bowl gasketNew Genuine Honda fuel lineNew Genuine Honda carb drain hoseSealed and repainted tank (KBS Tank Sealer)New seat cover (Doesn't have "HONDA" logo on rear like original)Fresh oil change All electrics work including both headlight beams, but it needs a couple of indicator bulbs. This bike comes with NO battery installed. It looks and runs great. No oil leaks. No gas leaks. I've included a "nekkid" picture so you can see that it's as clean where you can't see as where you can! The bike was kept inside in a heated shop, but the shop had no air conditioning. Because this bike sat under a tarp for 25 years water condensed on the rims. Each rim has about a 10 inch section where the chrome has bubbled off. Ebay doesn't give us many choices for "title" so I've had to list it as "rebuilt". Since it was bought for ranch use only, the owner never registered it and as such IT HAS NO TITLE. In the 70's an inspection sticker was required here in Arkansas in order to get a plate. The FACTORY PAINTED left fork leg shows NO sign it ever had a very hard to remove inspection sticker on it. This bike will be sold with a bill of sale only. Your state may or may not require a title for a 47 year old bike so I'd advise you to check if that's an issue for you. Most states will issue a bonded title for a fee. I won't ship this for you, but I'll assist with the loading for whoever YOU hire. A deposit of $100 is required via Pay Pal within 24 hours of purchase with the balance due via certified check within one week. When the payment clears my bank the bike may be picked up. Cash works if you want to pick it up in person. Ask any questions I haven't answered and bid with confidence. I have a 100% satisfaction rating. ...On Apr-07-18 at 14:47:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a question about the dimensions of the bike if you're curious if you could picke it up in your SUV. It's 71 1/2 inches from end to end, 41 inches tall at the handlebars and 29 1/2 inches wide at the levers. I've also added a couple of pictures. I was asked for a shot of the inside of the battery box and breather hose. The inside of the box has a little surface rust, but no battery acid corrosion. The breather hose is still flexible in spite of it being close to freezing in my shop today! (It's April, isn't it? Geeze!) While I had the side cover off I also remembered that I hadn't mentioned that this little Honda still has an almost complete tool kit missing only the screwdriver handle and valve adjusting extension! On Apr-08-18 at 12:54:37 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a question about the seat height. When off the center stand the seat height is 30 inches. This is a great first bike for kids and ladies! On Apr-08-18 at 13:45:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the gas cap seal, petcock seal, settling bowl o-ring and petcock to tank o-ring have a all been replace with Genuine Honda parts. There are also 2 rubber bumpers underneath the tank on either side of the tunnel (NOT the mounting rubbers at the front) that have also been replaced. When restoring this bike I tried to replace EVERYTHING made of rubber that might be a potential threat to reliability. On Apr-08-18 at 14:00:42 PDT, seller added the following information: LOL! I keep remembering things! I'm a professional motorcycle mechanic and gave this bike a full tune up while restoring. Points were cleaned, timing was set, plug replaced, carb was stripped, rebuilt and recalibrated. Only the bowl gasket needed replacement. Valves were adjusted and timing chain tensioner was adjusted. It's ready to put gas in it and go.
