NO RESERVE!!! Mechanic owned 1997 Toyota Rav4. Has high mileage but doesn't smoke and runs like a top. I drove to NC from FL just this past week on a fishing trip and have made a few similar trips this past year in this car without incident. When I bought it roughly a year and a half ago, I put a new radiator in it and did a tune up. It has been running fine ever since and has never left me stranded. It drives smooth and is comfortable, the cruise control works well. It's not much to look at , as the paint is rough and there are dings throughout but none major - the pictures always make them look better than they really are. The interior is in tact with no rips or tears, just a little dirty. Carpet is worn through under the drivers seat and in the rear hatch area there is a paint spot where I spilled a little house paint (pictured). Has very desirable roof racks included with keys. While the car is mechanically sound, I know it very well and have driven it every day, and in the interest of full disclosure, I want to let you know everything I know to be wrong with the vehicle. I want to be sure you know what you are getting and will be happy with the sale. The car's need's are as follows: 1) Heater core stopped up - AC blows ice cold but there is no heat and won't be until it is replaced (blend door and blower motor work fine). 2) It needs and alignment - it does track straight but the steering wheel is sideways while driving, a little obnoxious. 3) Power steering does not work - the input shaft seal in the steering rack has blown out and it won't hold fluid. When it happened I took the belt off to save the pump, but the rack (and belt) must be replaced for it to work again. I priced them here under $150 but I just haven't had the time or money to do it. It's a small car, so driving without power steering isn't that bad. 4) Tires are decent at 60 to 75% left, but one has some dry cracking and the spare is almost bald completely. 5) Will need front brake pads in the near future - not squeaking yet but likely will in a few months. 6) Key is tuck in the ignition - the door keys are different so you can lock it up, I just took the driver's key off the ring when it happend. It's not the lock cylinder - it's the column lock that broke/won't lock and release the key anymore. It's a nuisance but I didn't wan't to have to replace the column for that. 7) Burns a quart of oil every couple of months. Like I said it doesn't smoke but I drive it a lot and usually have to add one in between oil changes. Overall this is a solid, dependable ride that someone is going to get a really good deal on. Has a clear Florida in my mane with no issues. I have sold many vehicles here on eBay and am offering at no reserve. I will not take it down a day before auction ends, sell offline, or anything like that so don't ask, and bid with confidence if you want it. Bidders with zero feedback most contact me prior or otherwise will be automatically canceled. I require a $250 paypal deposit and the remaining balance must be paid within 3 days of auction close via cash in person or wire transfer (paypal even if you pay the fees). If you need more time to pick up the car I am willing to work with you but the balance must be paid within the allotted time with no exceptions - no drama.
