1957 FORD COUNTRY SEDAN 6 passenger wagon that was built in Long Beach Ca. - it is licensed and driven frequently - this wagon is a pleasure to drive as it has PS & PB and the original thunderbird 4 bbl. 312 v-8 and auto trans - believe me i know as i also have a 57 2-dr HT that has no PS or PB and there is a world of differenceThis wagon is all original with the exception of the reverse chrome wheels and the after market air conditioning and tachometer also it has chrome valve covers and air breatherthe engine has no leaks - does not use oil and runs excellent - never fails to start - transmission shifts like it shouldthe body and underside is rust free with the exception of the very front passenger side radiator support - it is the only place on the entire car that has a rotted spot - the floor pans and frame are just as they came from the factory ( please look the pictures over close - one picture will show the only rust area in the car )the paint is in poor condition - it was repainted in 1989 and now it is starting to peel off in a lot of spots - i drive it this way and it gets me by however the new owner might want to paint the car - again it does need paintthe tires new with less than 500 miles on them - the glass in the car is all good with the exception both rear side glass are cracked - the side glass is readily available and fairly easy to install - the interior has been redone many years back and is in average condition - the carpet has seen better days as it is faded in placesthis car came with a luggage rack from the factory and it is not installed now but goes with the sale of the car - the rack is missing one cross piece and will have to be found by the new owner-the chrome bumpers are in very good condition and the grille has been chrome plated - the stainless trim is in perfect condition and only needs polishing to look new - no pitting anywherethe lights work - the wipers work - the turn signals work - the heater fan works - the air conditioning does not work - radio ???? doesn't work for me -- this is one of the nicest 57 wagons out there with the exception of a new paint job - mechanically it is a pleasure to drive and own - we also have the original owners manual which goes with the carLOOK THE PICTURES OVER before bidding to make sure this is what you want and are able to pay for the car- i expect a 500.00 paypal deposit as soon as the auction ends and the balance in one week after sale ends - bidders with a feedback score of 5 or less need to call me before bidding ( 702-401-3344 ) also any one with other questions feel free to call me - as far as picking up the vehicle you can take all the time you need - finding a shipper might be difficult depending on your location and getting a fair shipping price might take some time - it will be kept in a safe place
