Vehicle Detail

*This will be my last listing becuase it's my last of 6 alotted eBay postings. If you'd like to view the truck, the only pre-auction close day I am available is March 5. If you require shipping, I will be available to meet with your shipper after March 15th. I travel for work a lot, but I will do my best to accomodate your requests.* Okay guys/gals, thanks for all the emails. If you’re going to send me inquiries, please write out your specific questions. With 60+ people watching and inquiring, you can imagine the potential for 10 back and forth emails becoming 600 emails... However, your Classic Bronco enthusiasm is appreciated! Unfortunately I am not a mechanic or classic car expert. I am just a guy who has been fixing up a Bronco for a few years. But I will do my best to answer your questions. If you have a real offer, please send me an email with a dollar amount. As for all the "call me when the auction ends" emails, I understand there are a lot of dealers looking for rock bottom prices and think I am in a rush to sell. I respect that you're doing business and try to capitalize on your margins. However, I am not moving for literally months from now so I am not hard pressed or even 100% commited to selling. Also, please do not email me the morning the auction closes... I probably won’t have time to respond. Like most people I have to get up and go to work most days. I understand there are a lot of dealers looking for rock bottom prices and think I am in a rush to sell. I respect that you're doing business and try to capitalize on your margins. However, I am not moving for literally months from now so I am not hard pressed or even 100% commited to selling. * I have received inquiries about driving the truck around the state instead of shipping. I have driven the truck to Tahoe a couple of times, I have used it for a daily driver for about 2 years, but if you end up buying I would recommend replacing the engine as stated below before taking any long trips. That is out of an abundance of caution. My listing is forthright, full disclosure, and direct.* Guys and Gals, I am at a crossroad. I am not in a rush to sell, but I am moving to the other side of the country and debating whether to part with my 1974 Bronco project or go through the trouble/expense of shipping. If you're a California buyer you may already know that a 74' is the second to last year that does not require SMOG and therefore anything can be done to this old beauty. It has a clean title, straight frame, power steering, and is a 3 speed. Gears shift smoothly. I am at the point where I'm either going to sell my project, upgrade the existing 302 engine to a 351 engine, which should be a straight swap. If YOU buy, you could set up your own dream engine like an EFI conversion, or a high performance job. I like the carburetor style becuase I have a fondness for old school stuff. Upgrades: -when I got the truck installed 23 gallon rear gas tank (aux tank in-op, but still attached) -new custom dual exhaust 3 years ago -new radiator a couple of years ago -front brakes have been upgraded to disks a couple years ago -had power brake system completely replaced last year -the suspension was upgraded to a James Duff 3.5" lift -sway bar to improve handling at speed on the freeway, this was my daily driver around the Bay for a few years -all bushings were replaced in suspension last year -the rear leaf springs were upgraded to National springs last year -Toyo wide 31" tires have lots of tread left -Tuff Box glove box and under passenger seat locking boxes installed -Upgraded heavy duty chrome door hinges -Hydraulic springs on hood and tailgate -Comes with Corbeau rear bench seat -Uninstalled set of new in box Bilstein shocks -Upgraded headlights -Upgraded clutch linkage to adjustable model -New OEM fuse box -Spectre air filter -K&N oil filter -Box of assorted new seals for doors, metal tailgate seal liners -New uninstalled "silent" tailgate hinges -New uninstalled firewall installation -replaced all turn signal and break light covers and seals -has moon roof and optional roof rack was installed by a previous owner History: I have owned this rig for about 5 years and my brother purchased it from a collector in Washington State at least 3 years before that. I don't have an accurate mileage on the existing engine. The existing engine is a replacement from original. I replaced broken odometer cluster with a new Dakota Digital illumated set up that is spot on (professionally installed and tested $1000+ job with all new parts and labor). The interior was rhinolined by a previous owner. When I got the truck, I converted the fiberglass hood back to an original steel hood, had the broken tire rack removed and mounting points sealed, and had Bushwacker fenderflares installed. The paint job was not that great on one of the fender flairs where gasoline spilled on it and has flaked. The frame is rust free and there is some surface paint peeling in the engine bay with surface rust, which can easily be brushed off and repainted when the engine is replaced. Just also noticed there are a few spots of bubbling around seams in passenger side quarter panel and tailgate. I travel a lot for work, so my time is limited on when I can coordinate shipping. However, I will do my best to accomodate buyers requirements. If using PayPal, please add 3% to final payment for their fees. Thank you for looking!*In regards to emails inquiring with questions of warranty and guarantees. I am not a mechanic and nobody can ensure the function of a 44 year old truck being driven by unknown persons in unknown conditions. As it what would appear to be common sense is not always common, I explicitly state this truck is sold as-is. Seller assumes no liablity for any explicit or implied warranty. Thanks again.*
