I am offering up for auction my 1970 Chevy Chevelle Super Sport LS-5 454. This is a Frame-Off Nut and Bolt restoration restored to stock original condition with very few deviations. The engine is a LS-5 454 - 360hp with a pump friendly compression of 10:1 compression using the correct stock steel intake manifold and Quadrajet carb, putting down some 500 lbs of tire shredding torque at 3200rpm. The points distributor has been upgraded to Accel Performance electronic conversion and the cam was changed to a Comp Cam. flat tappet hydraulic running thru exhaust manifolds and a new 2 1/2 " exhaust system with the correct Resonators and Chrome tips. A new clutch kit behind the correct 621 bellhousing is connected to a Muncie M-21 transmission and Hurst competition shifter mounted in the center console. The rearend is a 12 Bolt with a GM positraction unit and new 3.73 gears but the code is RVC which should be a 3.31 Options include - Power Steering , Power front Disc brakes , Factory Air conditioning , HD cooling , F-41 special suspension. , Console , AM radio , Tilt Steering Column , Comfort grip steering wheel , Special Instrumentation , ZL-2 Cowl-Induction , Painted the correct Code 25 Astro Blue with White stripes looks Amazing and the car has beautiful body gaps and easy to close original GM doors. All the weatherstripping has been replaced and all the original moldings were all professionally polished. The Floor pans and trunk pan are original and in excellent condition throughout which is something seldom seen anymore. The interior is code 791 Ivory Pearl White with bucket seats and floor mounted console. Interior is all new including the carpet & sill plates, headliner , door panels, seat covers and seat foam. The headrest and dash pad are original 1970 GM in excellent condition. Factory Tach and gauges are mounted in the dash along with the original AM radio. Car was restored using Original GM parts correct for the car when ever possible, right down to the T3 headlights and F-70 Goodyear Polyglas tires because that's what i wanted. It could use a new set of Radial tires to make it a cruiser as the F70-14's bark at just letting the clutch out, but i love the bone stock appearance.This car has all the correct parts like the GM boxed control arms, GM rear sway bar and 1 1/4 front sway bar and the bolted steering shaft to name a few. Engine is very strong and runs excellent. No leaks, no issues. Every nut and bolt on the car has been refurbished or replaced, same as the mechanicals. New Starter, New fuel pump, New water pump, New power steering pump, New Brake lines, New Fuel lines, new Gas tank & sending unit., New 4 core Aluminium radiator... etc.. New throughout. A great show car or just weekend cruiser that is friendly and easy to drive, but sounds mean and nasty. Car is for those who love the attention as your not going far without lots of compliments, looks and stares. Looks 100% stock , sounds 100% wicked !
