Super fun and interesting Chang Jiang CJ750 M1M Flathead Twin Motorcycle and Sidecar. Brief History: Just before WW2 the Germans shared the design of the BMW R71 with the Russians. These became URAL, DNEPR and IMZ. In the late 1950s Russia gave the design and tooling to their Communist buddies in China. The CJ750 was produce in China for the PLA. I restore and maintain antique motorcycles for Palm Beach area collectors. I bought this a year ago as an entertaining project. It is now completely sorted out and a fun and reliable ride. Starts easily with kick or Electric Starter. Runs quiet and smooth. New correct DENI carburetors perfectly tuned and synchronized. Valve lash and ignition spot on. No leaks or smoke. Four speed transmission with reverse has been serviced. Shifts precisely with foot or hand lever. New battery. All electrical including Starter, Charging, Lights and Horn working perfect. Rides smooth. Suspension serviced front and rear. Wheels trued and balanced and have new sealed high quality bearings. New brake, clutch and throttle cables. The sidecar can be taken on or off easily in 20 minutes. I have been enjoying riding it solo. It has updated final drive gearing suitable for solo or sidecar use. Cruises comfortably at 65mph. Everything was done right, It was a labor of love and I take pride in what I do. I had my fun now its someone else's turn. Parts are inexpensive and readily available. There is also a lot of online support for advice and repairs.
