Up for auction is a 1973 Porsche 914 1.7 finished in black. The car has seen a decent amount of recent maintenance including a new clutch, new rear struts, new rear brakes (PMB - zinc coated), plastic fuel lines replaced, rebuilt dual carbs, chrome mirrors and wiper arms were also added. The car has been swapped over to dual Webers and seems to run fairly well. A recent oil change was also performed with Brad Penn oil including a new oil strainer. All maintenance items have taken place in the last 2,000 miles. In terms of rust, the car will likely need new floor pans. Photos are attached illustrating the extent of the rust in this area. The floor pan rust has impacted the seat mounts which will also need to be repaired as part of the floor pan. There are rust bubbles at the bottom edge of the driver's side door and a slight bubbling in the driver's side wheel well. The trunks will likely need an adjustment to the hinges, as the fit is slightly off. Mechanically the car is a decent driver aside from the usual 914 quirks. The 2nd gear synchro can be finicky at times and the carbs could benefit from a more thorough tune. Overall the car has been a fun driver that could benefit from a little more TLC. I simply do not have the time or space to give this car the attention it deserves and hope to pass it along to someone looking to take it to the next level. I also have a pair of chrome early bumpers (front & rear) and a set of Spirit of America wheels with new tires that could be negotiated in addition to the price of the car. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to pull the auction at any time. Car is sold as-is, where-is and the buyer will be responsible for arranging shipping accommodations.
