Running 44 year old restoration project. Comes with the clear and pictured California title, owners book and matching vin /engine numbers. Registration is actually current through June 2, 2018. As you can see it does start first kick and it does idle. The brakes are weak but do stop the bike. Will need to clean the brake shoes and drums. The clutch is starting to slip under hard acceleration but the gears all shift very smooth and hold. I don't see any smoke from the exhaust.I do see one small oil leak at the left round small engine cover that takes 3 screws.Once you ride longer you might find more leaks. This is a 44 year old motorcycle and I do not know the history on it. I only know that my customer Mark says he put about 3000 miles on it after buying from a man in the military back in 2008. At that time he installed new Metzeler tires. The tire tread looks like new but there is some minor dry cracking showing on the surface sidewalls. Personally I would trust these tires and ride on them for their normal life.It was stored so we cleaned out the carburetor and petcocks. We noticed that the inside of the gas tank has been lined and looks good.The battery does not hold a charge overnight so will need a new one.We got it running so that you could see it shift and go down the road.The wheels look and feel straight. The headlight does come on with the toggle switch.The mufflers look very nice.The fork seals are leaking and the fork boots are bad. The fork tubes look like they will be fine with new seals as I only see some minor rust pitting and only up high on the right side tube. The front rim has some rust and chrome flaking off.The rear rim looks very nice with no rust. The nice looking seat will fit well as it is shaped for the bike but will need some mounting brackets fabricated to hold it down. Strong points are title and matching numbers, solid frame and motor other than clutch starting to slip and no real rust issues other than the front wheel.Weak points would be missing the speedometer assy and front fender.The slipping clutch and that the seat needs mounting.Has no key only a toggle switch for the headlight and one for the ignition. Sold as is with no guarantees to the highest bidder. We have the clear title, shown in the last picture. I am licensed and bonded with the California DMV. I am also a licensed vehicle verifier. If you are in California then I will also collect the sales tax of 7.75% plus $15.00 registration fee plus a document preparation charge of $85.00. I will give you a temporary registration permit on the spot and your new registration will come to you in the mail. You will not stand in line at the DMV and there will be no surprises. If you are outside of California and you ship by common carrier then you will pay only the purchase price and I will hand you or mail you the title. I must have a copy of the shipping contract from the driver when picked up or a bill of lading.Without proof of shipment via common carrier I would still need to collect the 7.75% sales tax.
