Wow. This bike is about 95% original. Paint, grips, seat cover, chain, brake shoes are all original. Even the original flasher is there and it still works. Still has all the original reflectors. I still have the original ignition switch (no key), condensers and rubber cover, the coils that were in it at the time, and the original "Made in Great Britain" tires. These original items go with the bike. Yes. This bike is a strong runner. Clean Louisiana title in my name. Titled as a 1971 Triumph. This is the one you want. The items I've replaced are: Tires, tubes, rim strips, clutch cable, throttle cables, front brake cable (with the correct in-line brake light switch), ignition switch, oil pressure sending unit, rear brake light switch, coils, condensers, spark plugs and spark plug wires, petcocks, fuel line, kicker pedal rubber, gear shift lever rubber. Just the items needed to make it safe and reliable. Wiring harness is original and has a couple of repairs where the connectors rusted off. Top end was torn down, valves lapped and reassembled. Carbs torn down and rebuilt with real Amal kits. Bike has strong compression and starts 1st or 2nd kick. Everything works except the horn. Tank had leaks in the bottom and was soldered up and 2 coats of RedKote applied. Clutch is nice, transmission shifts as it should. Oil pressure light, high beam light and flasher lights all work. Tach and speedo work. Very fun bike to ride, and definitely gets all the looks. Still wired as positive ground. This is a real find. I'm going to regret selling this but another special project has come along, and well you know how that goes... Please ask questions, look at all the detailed pics. My zip code is 70817.
