Vehicle Detail

I purchased this Bronco in 2012 with the intent to restore it to at least it's original glory if not better with modern parts. Life got in the way in late 2013 and this is as far as I got. I stripped it all the way down to the frame. Every piece was taken off. The frame and every part of the frame and many others were sent for Powder coating. In all I spent about $2,400 in powder coating. The body was sent to LineX for coating inside and the bottom of the body, firewall, gas tank and skid plate. In my opinion the body is encapsulated from rust of which there was very little of since this truck came from the northwest. The original motor was junked and I replaced it with a mid-late 70's 460. I spent about $4,000 in parts from Summit to rebuild the engine. The engine was sent to a highly recommended Ford mechanic for assembly ( I have a list of all parts). I wanted the engine to sound like a hot rod but run without problems. Wheels are a new set of American Racing chrome with a new set of BF Goodrich tires both are very appropriate for the truck. The front end was gone over to be sure it was in working condition. The rear end was completely rebuilt with new high end gears and axles. For the life of me I can not remember the name of the company I bought them from but it's a big name in drive systems. The transmission and transfer case were overhauled by a local dragster transmission guy. All springs and shocks are new. 99% of the nuts and bolts have been replaced with strong modern nuts and bolts. I also have additional nuts and bolts to put the remainder of the truck together. I honestly don't think that you will need to purchase much else to put this back together. A couple of friends think I have $20,000 into it so far. I think that is a bit high but it's possible. All this Bronco needs is someone with the ability to put it back together and paint it and get the interior done, you'll have a nice truck. The engine is in the price but if you don't want it we can work it out.
