Vehicle Detail

1973 TR5T Trophy Trail This bike has been upgraded/ improved over the stock condition. The bike sat in dry storage for over 20 years prior to my buying it a couple of years ago, therefore, the rings were stuck. Top end rebuillt, now has about 550 miles since rebuild. New bore, +.020 Emgo pistons, valve guides and intake seals, valve job, head machined to accept adapters for upswept exhaust . ALL electrical upgraded with proper size wiring, Boyer Brandsen ignition, Emgo coil, solid state rectifier, American made capacitor, new ignition switch, all to ensure the bike is dependable. I do not have turn signals, however, I do have the switches, and they go with the bike. Have the horn, and it goes with the bike. This bike starts first kick every time, whether cold, warm, or at full temperature. Amal carb completely reconditioned. Upgraded rear shocks, gas filled/adjustable. Bike runs and shifts as it should, and again, is VERY dependable. Tires, chain, control cables were replaced, about 550 miles of use on them. Several other upgrades – see pics. I have ridden this bike to/in the desert through the summer, and had no problems. Numbers matching bike, clear title in hand. Issues: The front fender has a short crack, drilled, sealed, and fender is now rubber mounted, has been not been problem. There is a nearly invisible crack in the tail light lense, so slight I couldn’t get it to show up in the pic, but included a pic. The bike has a slight exhaust leak at the mufflers. The speedo has a dinger in it in the lower outside corner – see pics – also slight blimish on the “Triumph” title on the dial. Other than that, the bike has NO rust on wheels, or any of the chrome parts. Look at the pics! I think I covered any issues. This is a 43 year old British bike, and may SOMEDAY develop a problem – NONE know of at this time, or they would have been corrected.
