Vehicle Detail
Classic Mercedes Benz 250S Sedan Clean, Straight, Solid and Original Just removed from long term storage by long time owner, an elderly woman who intended to have carbs rebuilt and resume driving it. Will require flushing fuel lines, rebuilding carburetors, replacing battery and likely coil to accomplish this. New Michelins already installed in anticipation. Front seats will need recover as the leather has perished. You may perform these maintenance items and drive it like it is with original patina, or restore this classic to former glory. The choice is yours. This rare car is complete and solid, coming from the west coast where no salt is used on the roads. Only rust I have found is minor spot on the spare tire well. This is quite typical. Otherwise appears to be very sold underneath, with none of the usual rust in rocker panels, door jams or any of the other usual spots. Very straight without any noticeable dings, or apparent accident or other damage. Paint appears to be the original dark green. Original engine with dual carbs in place and turns over freely. Everything appears to be original and intact, except the radio which is aftermarket. Original books included with builders tag and maintenance coupons. Excellent dash and wood trim completely surrounding the windshield in stunning condition without the typical waviness across the bottom. Wood trim surrounding other windows as well. Rare sunroof model for open air motoring. Enjoy this classic elegance. Fine print: Your bid is a binding contract, please treat it as such. Reserve will be revealed when you bid up to it. So bid to own it. No warranty is expressed or implied. Car is sold as-is, where-is. You, or your assigns, are welcome to inspect the car by prior appointment before end of auction. Clear Title, bill of sale, keys and registration can be sent with you or shippers if needed. 24 hour notice required before shippers arrive. Near I-5, a major freeway and port of Portland, Oregon for shipping. Once car leaves the premises, you own it. EnjoyOn Sep-23-17 at 20:40:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Finally had a moment today, so I replaced the ignition condenser, hooked up a spare battery, sprayed a little carb cleaner in the carb, put the fuel line into a gas can and verified that she does in fact turn over with the engine rotating freely. Oil pressure came up on the gauge and she fired up. She wouldn't stay running however, so will apparently need that tune up and the carbs rebuilt after all. Once that is done, should be a great classic Benz for cruising in understated elegance. Hope you get the chance to enjoy it.
