SUPER NICE 1969 HONDA CB450 K2 – VINTAGE COLLECTOR's BIKE - COMPLETELY ORIGINAL CONDITION This is a beautiful 1969 Honda CB450 K2. We bought this bike from an estate sale. That gentleman’s collection included several vintage Honda’s as well as a collection of vintage British bikes. We have been told that this bike is completely original, just as it left the factory in 1969, aside from maintenance items and we haven’t found any reason to doubt that claim. ATTENTION HONDA COLLECTORS – You need this bike in your collection! 1969 was a transition year for the CB450. Honda was switching over from the old Black Bomber style of the 60s to the painted tank and disk brake models of the 1970s. Honda produced two CB450 models in 1969. Production of the CB450 K1 started in 1968 and ran into 1969. The K1 still had the "toaster" side panels on the fuel tank as the old Bombers along with the cigar shaped mufflers, drum brakes and screw on gas cap. The VIN numbers on the K1 ran from 3000001 to 3008965. Then Honda switched to the K2 style in early 1969 which was the first of the fully painted tank models that would continue into the late 1970s. This K2 is Candy Red and still has the original cigar shaped mufflers, drum brakes, tilt back seat and screw on gas cap from its Bomber ancestors, but was a preview of what was to come, with a tear drop painted fuel tank. Production numbers are unknown, but some sources limit the production of the K2 to several thousand. The VIN on this bike is 3009161 making it the 196th K2 made. Here’s a link for more information: http://www.motorera.com/honda/h0450/sport/sport.htm This bike runs and looks great with new Dunlop tires, new drum brake shoes front and back, new chain, new throttle and clutch cables, fresh oil change as well as cleaned carbs. The original paint and chrome is in very good condition with only the expected chips and dings for a 48 year old original condition bike. All of the lights and switches work correctly. This is a vintage classic bike that you can still ride to the bike shows or around town. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We can accept Pay Pal for the deposit only.
