Vehicle Detail
I just purchased this at a wholesale auto auction. It was donated to charity and it has a 9 year old tag on it. I have not and I will not try to start it. I am not familiar with working on these. I do feel with a little tlc that it will run. Showing 60,407 miles. Items that I know it will need is as follows; a new battery, new fuel and brake work. Clutch pedal feels good. Brake pedal goes to the floor. Oil is clean and showing 1/2 qt low. Not many around like this. Turns a lot of heads and gets lots of questions and complimants. I'm not sure why but the girls really seem to like it a lot. Would make a cool ride for someone. Taxes paid up to date and clear title sent off and should be back here in a day or two. 7 days to pay and 60 days to pick it up. Bob at 706-283-5044. Also I am open to adding a buy it now. Just ask if you want it added. On Aug-14-17 at 10:24:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I had several people asking me to try and start the doodle bug. I said I wouldn't try to start it. But I did. I charged the battery for two hours and hooked it up to a two gallon gas can. Filed the points and hit the key. It started right up and runs like a new one. Engine runs smooth with no abnormal noises or smoke. The Carburetor is quick and responsive. I started it a 1/2 dozen times just by bumping the key without giving it any gas. Battery seems to be doing alright but it is old. The car rolls for loading or towing. I can help with loading. You can yard drive it but It will need brake work before you can put it on the road. Best little bug engine I have heard. Nice and smooth. Would also recomend draining and flushing the fuel tank before trying to draw fuel out of it. Also wanted to note that the original color looks to have been light blue. All jams was pained to match exterior. Has a couple of chips here and there revealing the original color. Car will need paint and tlc but should be a nice little ride.On Aug-16-17 at 12:03:42 PDT, seller added the following information: The tow bar came with the car and it will go with the car to the high bidder. It did not have any safety chains. Also this is a no reserve auction. That means the last man standing will own it. If you are bidding on it please make sure that it is what you want and have funds in place to pay for it within the aloted time. It is not fair to me or to other bidders if you bid on it and then can't pay for it.
