Vehicle Detail
This 1966 Mustang is a great little hobby car and in a really sweet spot restoration-wise. It’s an automatic (C4 transmission) with a 289 (8 cylinder) motor. It's been garage kept for the last twelve years, looks beautiful, and it’s a decent driver. The guy who had it before me sent me a list of everything he had done on it: replaced all upholstery, carpet, dash, door panels, headliner, vinyl top, quarter panels, fenders, all chrome inside and out, brake pads, headers, intake, manifold, hoses, points, leaf springs, transmission and brake lines, head gaskets, valve covers and gaskets, transmission filter and gaskets, deck lid, B&M shifter and linkage, and Edelbrock four barrel carburetor. The motor was completely removed and acid washed then resealed with all new gaskets. It spent months in body shop with $9000 worth of body work and painting, so there's ittle to no rust on the body. And I’ve added a few things myself: new steering wheel, padded center console, new glove box, new oil pan, rebuilt transmission, new radiator and heater core, electronic ignition, new tires and alignment. Anything wrong with it? It's a basic model without power steering, power brakes, or A/C. I had it inspected by a local classic car garage and they say it's a decent driver worth between 7500. and 9500. The rear blinkers are intermittent (probably some loose wiring), and the radio doesn't work.
