Ladies and Gentlemen,Upon turning 40 years old my wife decided to allow me to purchase my dream. That dream was to own a split window VW bus and go and get ice cream in it. Take cruises, show it off, pick up women (just kidding, kind of). Three years later and gobs of money trying to make it amazing, I am done and beaten up...so I filed for divorce (just kidding again, I still love my wife, I am done with the bus) Here is the best that I can tell you and as honestly as possible. Please email with any questions, and for this kind of money, please send somebody to review the bus, or I can face time with you if you are elsewhere in the world The bus:It is a 1967 splitty, need I say morehas brand new chrome window trimbrand new brakes/brake linesfresh engine that is number matching (at least that is what they tell me) runs beautifullyoriginal tranny so they saynew rubber all of the way around, although I hear the wheels are wrong for this busnew fuel gauge, although there is a wiring issue but should be easily fixednew safaris up frontPPG paint, although painter did not do a great job, I would rate this a 7 out of 10 as it needs to be wet sanded and one area needs possibly redone, see photo with gasoline stainsnew mirrorsI have the middle and rear seats, I can't confirm if the middle is correct, but it is thereThe floors are new and so is what they call the lower six inches, that was all done before I owned this busThe doors up front have some internal rust and they are hard to get to latch close, although they do latchThe middle doors are tight and need some adjustmentsThe rear door is missing the exterior part of the latch, the inside is there and works perfectlyThere is some sort of electrical issue, I am not sure if it is the generator, or a loose wire, I don't have the time any longer to tinker with thisThe bus will start after sitting for weeks with a jump, starts right up, not sure if it is charging thoughhorn workswipers work, don't have the wiper fluid reservoirheat removedheadliner is new, I put this in myself so I did the best I could, looks good needs some finish work to look greatdeluxe trim is new, It would not be hard to make this a nice weekend driver before you bid, please ask me any questions that you want, this is a big purchase, for some it may be the largest and most emotional purchase of their lives.
