Vehicle Detail
Now is the time you can own this beautiful, original Jeepster Commando. This is the last year of the highly sought after front CJ-style grills/fenders.This low milage (55,000), Dauntless V6 motor (new hoses and full tuneup in recent months) starts with the turn of the key and runs great with no mechanical issues what so ever. The three speed automatic transmission shifts beautifully and the four wheel drive drivetrain is in perfect operation condition. The Avocado Mist Metallic color screams the '70s and looks great with the bright white convertible hardtop. Seats are covered in beautiful black vinyl and the original floor mat is in great shape for a forty-six year old SUV. The body is straight and solid with only a couple of minor repairs (see info in description above). Power brakes, all original weather striping, dual-speed electric wipers, original hubcaps, really nice Jeep horn ring and original curved chrome bumpers make this truck really stand out. Brand new mud terrain tires help this Commando ride and drive straight down the road for everyday driving or weekend cruising. This is not set up as a show truck, but nice enough to enter in the original vehicle category at the local shows and still drive on a regular basis as a driver.Reality is, this is a great truck for anyone looking for a clean, dependable and unique vintage truck! On Aug-05-17 at 14:10:12 PDT, seller added the following information: - I have been asked if this truck is rust-free so I felt it important to document the couple of places there are a little rust.... please note, however, this truck is 99.9999999999999999999% without rust. The two known places are under the winch mount bolts/mount area on the panel behind the bumper and some surface bubbling on either side of the exterior tailgate. All of these areas combined are about the size of a golfball with that under the winch bolts being 90% of that golfball. I can send photos (it wont let me post any at this point though. Just want to have full disclosure on the sale. On Aug-06-17 at 12:45:47 PDT, seller added the following information: - I have been asked to give more info on the undercarriage and chassis. The truck's undercarriage nor chassis have been restore. They are all factory except for the newer dual exhaust pipes and mufflers, recent brake hose replacements, new gas tank and new rear shocks. There is a tiny bit of rust in a couple of places but combined, its no more than a deck of cards if that. I have photos if anyone would like to message me and provide their contact info.
