You are looking at an extensive frame-off restoration of a true 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Convertible (1867 in the Vin). I have made every effort to return the car to near original condition, including parts and finishes. A few alterations were included to add dependability & economy of operation, while appearing stock.DRIVE TRAIN: The engine is a true 1963 Impala 327-300hp engine, completely rebuilt with its original Carter AFB 4 barrel (recently rebuilt). (An Edelbrock carb is included with car). An HEI distributor is used to add ease of maintenance and improve performance. Original air cleaner is restored. A new fuel pump installed in 2016. The transmission is a 200r4 for more modern shifting and better gas mileage. Please Note: the speedometer head was restored and calibrated and is accurate. However, there is a mismatch with the gear in the transmission and the odometer needs a correction factor to determine actual mileage. The actual mileage of the car now is around 2000. Rear differential is original to the car. Also, I have installed a manually operated radiator fan to counteract any overheating tendencies that may occur, such as slow movement like in a parade, or traffic jam, etc. A hidden fuel shutoff was installed that can be used for security, if desired.EXTERIOR BODY: Replacement of body panels as needed to bring this car back to its original condition, with complete new paint job. New white top installed with glass rear window. Convertible top frame was blasted and powder coated for extreme durability. New tinted windows all around. The bumpers were professionally rechromed to a very high standard. The new 20575R14 radial tires were installed in 2016. The car is stored elevated off the tires over winter to ensure no flat spots and a smooth ride. Correct original hub caps installed. The rims were POR15 painted for long wear resistance. Correct jack provided, located under spare tire. Rear special "turned" SS panel on trunk lid is the original one that was on the car and is in exceptional condition. Note: I have changed the center of the three tail lamps to be the brake/turn lamp instead of a backup lamp (see one of the pictures). Original lens comes with car, if desired.INTERIOR: Complete restoration with new correct upholstery, carpeting, padded dash. Correct tachometer housing is fitted with a newer modern tachometer for increased performance (original tach available). After-market radio installed with cassette player.
