Vehicle Detail
Up for sale I have my 2005 BMW K1200S, which is in great shape. The bike has never been down, but has some very small scratches on the left side fender where it has been brushed against, and also has a small chip in the paint. Other than that, it's in great condition, runs strong, just got an oil change (<200miles ago) with full synthetic oil, and is totally up to date with service as well as maintenance. All open recalls were done @ 16K miles, and clutch has been replaced by previous owner at 10K miles. Early versions of the clutch on this bike were known to fail, so no need to worry about that, since this bike has the updated version. This bike is super comfortable, ludicrously fast, and can hold a lot of stuff, I personally rode it to the airport a handful of times with my luggage bungeed to the back to utilize LAX's free parking for bikes. People are always surprised that this bike is as old as it is too, I try to take really good care of my vehicles. (the Honda fit isn't mine, for the record)The only reason I am getting rid of it, is I have a new job 42 miles away, and need to get a commuter car since the 91 freeway has people that actively try to run motorcyclists down on it. I would really like to keep it, and am in no rush to sell. Also miles may go up slightly as I still ride it from time to time. Bike will come with one set of keys, for 3 keys total. (1 ignition, and 1 for each side bag)The bike has the following extras that will be included if it's purchased for full price: (prices in parens are how much the parts were when purchased)- Arrow aluminium slip on exhaust ($550)- Stock exhaust ($0)- MV Peg lowering kit ($150)- MV bar raising kit ($400)- MV Shift Peg Cover ($40)- Carbon engine kick cover ($30)- BMW Expandable Hard Side Bags & Mounting Kit ($1100! Crazy expensive but well worth it IMO)- BMW Tank Bag and Tank Bag mounting kit ($250)- Kryptonite Disk Lock ($30)- BMW tool kit ($60)- BMW Center Stand ($500)Total for extras - $3110Otherwise, I am removing the side cases, disk lock, tool kit, tank bag, and exhaust and selling them separately. On Jun-28-17 at 15:23:29 PDT, seller added the following information: 2 things, one I forgot to remove the part in the description saying that the following will be included if they bike is sold at full price, all of the stuff that I listed is included with the auction of the bike. Now for the other thing, the fuel gauge is intermittently acting up (reads totally full, even when it's not) this is a known issue for these bikes and is covered under warranty by BMW. I've had it replaced before, and it's painless and a free recall for the dealer to rectify.
