Vehicle Detail

Estate sale Texas "barn find"! 64 Triumph TR-4 (Build date is 12/8/1964). Been sitting for well over 20 years. Original car, 4-speed (with O\D), 60 spoke wires, heater, windshield washers. Have British Motor Industry Heritage Trust factory record certificate showing numbers, original equipment, color, build and shipping date, along with technical specs. Unit appears to be a still born restoration project, as previous owner has done partial dis-assembly of unit (interior). It is not in running condition but engine does turn and car will roll. Body is in fair shape, with its share of assorted dings and dents. It is mostly intact but has had the right quarter and deck lid replaced. Left rear has had a little tap that dented the bumper on that side. This could be a great candidate for either parts or total restoration. The Good Have clean Arizona title from 1969. Unit was titled as a 66 model. New carpet set, new Moss Motors transmission tunnel, NOS Lucas tail light lenses, new Moss Motors dash pad kit. Spare parts include a left front fender and rear quarter. Have a box full of Triumph reference material, old outside vendor catalogs, previous service repair orders, etc., and original keys. Also have a box of interior parts that include the radio, gauges, center dash brace, seat belts, assorted switches, lights, and bezels. Includes two marginal wood dash panels. Engine compartment is 95% complete, with original carburetors, engine accessories, radiator, fan, etc. The Bad Commission and Body Tag are missing, however, engine number is clearly visible. Appears that unit was stored outside for some period of time and does show that wear and tear. Remnants of original top (white) are there. Top frame is on unit but is rusty. Interior door trim panels are shot, along with the quarter and top well trim panels, as well. The Ugly Unit does have some rust issues. Both front floor pans have rust. The left front floor pan will need to be replaced, as well as both outer rockers and the center upper scuttle (under the battery). The right floor pan is also rusty but does not appear to have any holes. There is also some rust in the trunk floor that will need some attention. You can message me with any questions or additional photo requests. Please note that this vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. It is also for sale locally. Transport and shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser. A $500, non-refundable, deposit is required within twenty-four hours of bid close, with total payment being due within five days. Unit is being kept inside my secure storage building and I will be glad to hold it for the winner, a couple of weeks (free of charge), pending any transport arrangements. Thanks for looking!
