1963 Ford Fairlane 500 2 Door Hardtop for sale. I have had the car for nearly 12 yrs now and it is time to put her up for sale. The body is absolutely clean and super straight. The floor pans were replaced 11 yrs ago and the very little rust the car had when it was restored was cut out and new metal was welded in. All the body work was done by Miguel at Bluez Kustomz. The interior door panels, carpet, and kick panels were replaced with new ones. The bumpers were both replaced with new ones. I have a new head liner(not installed) that will come with the car. I have all the exterior trim for the windows that need to be installed. A great time to do that will be when the next person gets the headliner installed. The Fairlane was an original 260 with 2spd fordomatic transmission but I replaced it with a 289 and C4 out of a 68 mustang. During the time we changed the motor and tranny we stripped down and painted the engine compartment. The engine runs great and starts right up. When the car is cold the transmission will slip a little but once the car is warmed up it is not an issue when shifting gears. This car needs very little to finish and the hard work is done. The following is the list of things that need to be done to the car to the best of my knowledge:headliner installedexterior front windshield and back glass trim installed(I have all the trim)passenger side door handle installed (I have it)install new gauges or connect the original ones on the dashboardcheck wiring for short, the lights all work but go off at times when you use the turn signalsneed to connect the wipers (not sure where they are at...still looking)install the glove dept door which I haveI love this car but with many toys and 2 going to college soon I would rather someone else enjoy her more than my time allows me too. I have driven the car 10-12 times a year just the way she is. I have listed everything that I feel is important to help you decide whether this fairlane is your next classic car.
