1973 Mercedes 450 SL roadster Classic early W107 series convertible Early Euro-type bumpers and that sparkling 4.5L V8 in its early free breathing guise, make this classic convertible the purest of this design and the one to own. This solid, original car, has recently coaxed from long term storage with mild tune and fuel work. Brakes on all four corners serviced with calipers and new brake pads. Now stops well to match the powerful V8, enabling you to cruise in style. Needs: Seats a little torn and driver sill carpet frayed but sheepskins installed and original seats are also included for restoration, if you pick up them up. Paint is a little old with couple rust spots in corner, but solid overall and hard to distinguish due to this classic forgiving color. Console isn't perfect but dash and gauges look good except radio not hooked up. Trunk needs adjustment. Window regulators need replaced. Both included. Passenger side now installed but needs final adjustment. This car is clean, solid and original underneath as well in the way that only a west coast car can be. I have some pictures showing this on another camera, that I will try to add. Offered for restoration or merely to enjoy as is. Hard top matches and functions well. Soft top included as well, and could use replacement but I've never needed it, or taken it out to verify. All emblems seem to be in place. Lights and signals work. Power windows with working motors. Ready to make a couple adjustments and enjoy for summer. Or you can restore since earlier SL prices have taken off. Surely an early W107 series SL with these nice chrome bumpers and healthy V8 will be next. Can you own it in time? I once passed on a 190SL for little more than this. Do not make the same mistake!
