1990 Nissan 240sx hatchback, mint car, blown head gasket Clean title, VIN JN1HS36P6LW147673 No accidents reported (old hag backed into passenger door, I pushed out dent pretty good) Non smoker, no odors Two owners Original black paint good Clear coat on top of left fender faded (remember a decent paint job on another car can run to $3,000) Original cloth upholstery decent Odometer is understated (replaced speedometer 3 times) Best guess on mileage is 120,000 Blown head gasket (can of head gasket fix juice worked for two years, then oil turned to chocolate milk and car was permanently parked 9/23/2016.) Timing chain guide broken in half (parts are probably down in oil pan) Jury rigged remaining piece to keep chain quiet Main engine bearings are worn; was using 20w-50 oil with an after market oil cooler at the end of engine life Needs engine replace or rebuild. OEM Nissan service manual (well used) included, service history hand written in back of manual Owners manual included, chewed up Chilton manual included Spare parts included….Electric fuel pump, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge (installed), fuel gauge, clock, lap seat belts left/right., electric radiator fan, b.t.p valve, timing chain guide, spare tire, two relays, ka24e engine hoist brackets from truck, complete instrument panel, disassembled ignition switch, air duct near feet, radiator cap with safety release, rocker arm, starter solenoid. Relay for automatic shoulder strap was pulled to keep it from working. Car will power up onto a trailer; I will not allow anyone to just drive it away. You must have trailer. Tires good, Computer readout of trouble codes by 2 leds (red and green) moved up to dash panel (see picture just right of headlight switch) Computer posted no malfunction codes when last shut down. New rear shocks Automatic transmission… had no problems Brakes, steering, rear end, muffler, good Can’t think of anything that doesn’t work, except the engine. No cracks in dash top (yes, you read that right!) No cracks in glass I can only find one point of bubbling paint at bottom of left front fender Working MP3 player installed.; SD music chip not included; you have to load your own music. Air conditioning worked last time I tried it. (old style refrigerant) This came as a standard model, …. No moon roof, no rear wiper, no cruise control, no power windows. No power door locks, no spoiler Has built in tow hitch on rear. 1 7/8” ball. Used to tow 12 foot sailboat to lakes. Not good for heavy loads. You will need to sign a release that you recognize this to be a wimpy hitch ,and you assume all risks. (Or I can take it off, if you prefer) Includes car cover (OEM Nissan) If your passion is for engines (can you spell SR, RB, LSX. 2JZ?), and you don’t want to get bogged down in body, chassis, or interior work, this car may be calling your name (If you have a shop that converts these cars to all electric, let me know about you.)
