I bought the car 4 years ago. Having owned many Porsches, I foundmyself able to buy the red headed step child of the marque. What apleasant surprise. Now I understand why so many people autocrossthis model. In my opinion it handles better than the 911,912,356,etcthat I have had the pleasure of owning. Going in, I knew there would be cost involved. I have copies of receiptstotaling 7491.00 in mostly mechanical repairs. 07/14-new tires08/08/14 replace starter/replace oil sensor/repair intake manifoldrepair vacuum leak/reset timing/ replace valve cover gaskets/set valveclearance/replace oil pressure switch08/29/14 replace starter/replace oil pressure sensor06/02/15 replace relays/repair tunnel tube/replace clutch/replace flywheeldisassemble transmission inspect and reseal syncros ok. change oil08/11/15 replace transaxle bushing/ rebuild brakes/repair parking brakereplace exhaust-Burch /rewire tail lights12/15/15 adjust ransmission,replace 4 cv joints,replace throttle cable and bushing03/16 install stainless heater boxes /exhaust manifolds5/16 install synthetic oil and upgraded filterI know I am missing some items. My next goal was to repair the hell hole.But this is where I have come into a tax liability. So now it is time tosell. The pictures show how rust never sleeps. Some small areas on fendersand door. If I could have afforded to buy a model like I see advertisedon E Bay for the 25-30k range, I would have. Paint is nice but with flaws. Still draws a lot of attention. Not an originalcolor (previous owner painted and left door jams under hood etc the old original yellow) Plus they sprayed on what I think is POR 15. All in all a great driver that fires right up and shifts smoothly. I got thatpart sorted. So much fun to drive. No lift throttle response. ps/ I have sold P cars worldwide (Mexico, Austria, New York City, etc)so it can be done easily.
