Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car with a California Salvaged Title. Once the registration expired, I registered and titled it in Alaska where I am a resident of. So it now holds a current Alaska Rebuilt Title which I have in my possession with no liens. The history of this vehicle is included in this auction by viewing the AutoCheck report. The car is located in Novato, CA. and is no longer being driven to keep the miles low. It was in a front end collision on the passenger side back when it had 40 miles on it and was part of the dealerships inventory. Since they weren't allowed to sell it as new if they had repaired it, their dealerships insurance company wrote it off as a total loss. The fellow that I purchased it from owns a body shop that purchases cars at auctions, repairs them and re-sells them. Instead of selling it, he decided to keep it. However, after owning the car for one year and only putting about 800 miles on it, he decided to sell it since he barely drove the Abarth. So I purchased it from him. I've used it as a strict commuter car and since I drive in the opposite direction of traffic, this has never seen bumper to bumper traffic other than on the freak days where there's an accident. It gets 35 mpg during my mixed commute. On the highway, it'll get 38 mpg if you keep the cruise control at 70 mph. It will get 40 mpg if you keep the cruise control at 55 mph. Although it has a turbo, it will run on Regular / 87 Octane fuel but I've only put Premium Fuel in the Abarth. The only options that it has are the decals on the side doors and the all whether Abarth Scorpion rubber matts for both the front and rear seats. It has a digital gauges whereas the 2014 and older Fiat Abarth's came with the outdated looking analog gauges. The Bose Sound system that's an option for the other 500 models comes standard with the Abarth. It does have super cold air conditioning, CD player, Bluetooth, Aux input, Auto Roll Down Power Windows, Red Brake Calipers, HID's, Fog Lights, etc. but it has remained completely stock with no cosmetic, electronic or performance modifications. I have both sets of keys. It's been adult driven its entire life. There are paint chips from rocks on the hood (see last photo) and one door ding which does'nt show up in photos. There are a couple of scratches on the dash due to the dealership putting the front bumper in the car after the accident. Only one rim has slight curb rash, the rest are perfect. The passenger pillar has some scratches due to the hood digging into it from the accident but it received touch up paint. The quality of which the previous owner/body shop owner repaired it was just to get it looking good from 5 feet away and to play around with as his 6th car. So that means you will see the sanding marks on the bondo that was used on the passenger from wheel fender, repurposed plastics and non OEM windshield glass being used to repair it. Since I was looking for a cheap, reliable commuter car with good gas mileage, I didn't care whats so ever about the cosmetic details or the repairs. Despite the Abarth being my commuter car, I washed it at least once a month but mostly twice a month and it has been detailed once a year. Service maintenance has always been completed at the Fiat dealership. It has never given me any problems. I'm only selling it because I no longer need a commuter car due to an upcoming move. You are in charge of finding a vehicle shipper. I highly recommend using eBay's sister company uShip. I will do my best to make myself available to be here when they pick up the Abarth. With that said, I will not release the car until the payment method used has been cleared by my bank. I will accept cash in person, certified cashiers bank check, money orders and even a loan check. However, the funds must be cleared by my bank first.
