Vehicle Detail

First year model of the sensational Montesa Impala Sport 250, and a very early example at that being matching serial number 81. These bikes were never officially imported into the US, and as a result are extremely rare here. Having been in the vintage motorcycle hobby for 40 years, I have only ever seen one other bike of this model for sale. It is an older restoration that was done is Spain, that still presents very well. It appears to be completely stock and correct, with the exception of the carburetor which has been updated to a Concentric Amal when it would have come with Monobloc. The bike starts, runs and shifts as it should, and is unbelievably quick for a 250 due to its very light weight. The speedometer shows 243 kilometers since the restoration, but I have no idea what the true original mileage might be. Lights, horn, kill button, and speedo all work as they should, but there is no stop light switch on the bike at present. I do have one that will be included with the sale, along with the tool box key and a wonderful Moto Retro book in Spanish called "Montesa Impala y sus derivadas". I have a clear Arizona title in my name. Call John at (928)600-4871 for an accurate description of any further details. This bike is sold with a 100% guarantee upon pick up. If you are not happy for any reason, your money will be refunded in full, including the deposit. That said, there are no warranties of any kind once this 52 year old vehicle leaves my premises. Paypal to be used for the deposit only, with the balance paid by other means. With run of the mill Bultaco Metrallas now commanding over $10k, this rare and unique Montesa presents a special opportunity for the serious collector. Please Note: For some reason the red color looks washed out in many of the photos. The paint is in fact the correct deep red color and is in wonderful shape throughout. Another Note: This bike had to be relisted due to someone who hit buy it now by mistake. I apologize to all of you who were watching and bidding who now have to wait three more days for the auction to end. I asked Ebay to cancel his bid but they would not.
