The original owner, Art purchased this U.S 1978 Datsun 280Z new at Santa Monica Peter West in Los Angeles. Factory options include 5 Speed manual transmission, Air Condition, Rear Defogger, Deluxe Z Wheels & Marume AM/FM Cassette Player Driving it the up until 1987 - then purchasing a mini van once having kids. 30 years later, he never thought the day would come he would departed with it. I'm proud to present this 1 Owner All original paint 78' 280Z - Los Angeles Garage Find Sitting Since 1987 Was parked outside the first 7-8 years & then was driven into the garage where it sat until last month. Original 79,489 actual miles All numbers matching L28 Inline 6 engine / 5 Speed Manual transmission. Complete & stock drivetrain, no modifications.Normal procedure was done after sitting that long but it is running/driving. 100% Original Silver Metallic Paint with original pinstripe. Very solid California body, 2 surface rust spots on passenger rocker. Original space saver spare, tool bag & original owners manuals Unrestored Datsun 1978 280Z. Owner had a fender bender on the driver side, the metallic paint has faded but I'm sure it can be revived to some point. The dash is complete all stock - no modifications. All the interior is complete is intact. He had his friend reupholstered the driver seat only & had added the early button upholstery only to the driver seat. Passenger seat is original. I do have the hood emblem & the passenger hood louver has a crack in it. Again, this is a original unrestored U.S 78' 280Z "Barn Find" All stock numbers matching. Impossible to find this days an original paint tucked away for 30+ years remaining with the original owner. A great investment to leave original or to fully restore.
