1976 Honda CR125 Elsinore – Too many projects not enough time so I'm letting this one go. Another Barn find. This is a highly collectable, complete and original bike that’s begging for a total restoration. No it’s not Marty Smiths practice bike but who ever owned it got their money’s worth. The kick starter works, motor kicks thru with some compression, it is not seized but you must assume a complete engine overhaul is required on this one. The good- Bike appears very original and unmolested. The tank is nice both outside and inside but does have a few minor dents. The fenders are original but scratched up. The OEM side panels are decent but one side has a tab missing. The Kehin carb and pipe seems factory also. The fork tubes and triple trees are nice shape with very little rust. The rare OEM rear shocks are factory original and decent. Bike has the original DID aluminum wheels with nice anodizing and the original stickers. Some spokes and nipples have rust or oxidation. The rear rim has some nicks and one small bend that can easily be straightened. The bad - The engine cases were cracked from a thrown chain I’m guessing. The engine numbers are partially missing and there’s a chunk broken from the Ignition cover. No leaks though. Like most race bikes it has its share of battle scares, nicks, scrapes. Look closely at the pictures and call if you have any questions. This bike is a perfect platform for a killer restoration, I’ve started with much worse. Sorry no warranty, Bike is being offered locally. Bike to be picked up by the shipper of your choice, I can recommend a few guys I’ve used.
