1978 BMW R100/7. I purchased this motorcycle from the family of its original owner. Bike comes with it's original bill of sale from the dealer in 78 as well as a clear VA title. This motorcycle runs perfectly and the ORIGINAL paint is beautiful with a few minor scratches and one very shallow ding on the side of the gas tank, (hardly noticeable). All #s match. Odometer stopped working at approx. 5600 miles, title says approx 27000. I sent the speedometer off to have the odometer repaired and had them calibrate the miles to match the title. So, there are way fewer miles on this motorcycle than what's on the odometer. It is missing the tool kit. All of the lights and electrical components work properly but the hi-lo beam switch does not like to stay in the low beam position, lost key for the krauser bags. This is an extremely well preserved original time capsule of a 1978 BMW motorcycle. There is no rust, mufflers and hard cases are near perfect and there is no evidence of any other mechanical issues. It's really hard for me to imagine that there's a nicer example of an unrestored R100 out there. IT NEEDS NOTHING! Please look at all of the pictures as they best describe the bike.
