Vehicle Detail

I am selling a fully functional 1965 Triumph 650 Bonneville T120R motorcycle with acomplete re-built engine, plus a bunch of spare parts. I've owned this bike since 1980,although it stopped being "stock" sometime before then.It had been heavily modified when I bought it, and it existed in a half dozen baskets."Chopped", as they said at Dewey's Cycle Shop at the time. It's really tricked out, withaftermarket seat and sissy bar, plus lots of chrome sidepieces and chrome exhaust. Theaftermarket oil reservoir is also chrome, although I have the original reservoir as well. The gas tank had originally been painted with some sort of truly ugly glittery gold and bluepaint scheme, similar to the original oil tank in the picture, so I sanded that off and got ablack paint job for the tank. This tank is rust free as well. I've got both the original stockshocks installed on the bike, but I still have the aftermarket "extended" shocks, hence the"chopped" statement. I had a second 650 Triumph engine, so that when it came time to havea professional re-build the bike, we had choices as to which parts went into the re-builtengine. The electronics were also re-built at the same time. The handlebars and grips arealso aftermarket, as are the carburetors, which were made by Mikuni. It ran just fine in 1997,and has been sitting in my garage ever since. All it really needs is a good external cleaning and a new battery, although I wouldn't trust thetires that are currently on the bike to take you too far. I have clear and legal title as well. The serial number on the installed engine does not match that on the frame, and the spareengine case has no serial number at all. If you're after a bike to return to it's original stockcondition, you should give this bike a hard pass. However, if you're after a cool streetmachine with customized class, I hope you'll be bidding on this bike.Shipping from Seattle, Washington. Will crate for shipping if required, but any shipping willbe at buyers expense.
