2007 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL55 83,800 Miles Black/Tan CONVERTIBLE 2-DR 5.4L V8 I bought this car for my wife from the second owner and it has been pampered its entire life. We have had it for several years and it has been her favorite car. Unfortunately, it only gets driven a few times a month to dinners or rides along the coast. Always garaged and left on a battery tender, this car is in great condition. Fully serviced by Mercedes and lately by our trusted independent specialist shop – includes a folder full of receipts dating back many years. Everything works as it should and recent service includes replacement of the brakes (including the expensive front rotors), transmission service, and replacement of the hydraulic fluid and filters for the suspension system. Tires have only a few thousand miles on them and the car rides fantastically. The tan Nappa leather upholstery with the birds eye maple wood accents really set off well against the black exterior. My wife always gets compliments on the cars and still tells people it was her dream car to own. We just no longer have the garage space available to keep another car that only gets driven so sparingly. Factory equipment include navigation, voice control, glass panorama roof with sunshade (don’t buy one of these cars without this feature), 12-way adjustable heated sports seats with massage, front dual zone A/C, leather wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, alcantara headliner, AMG chrome door sills, AMG chrome exhaust, bi-xenon headlamps, 19" AMG 5 spoke wheels, silver brake calipers, cross drilled rotors, electronic soft close trunk, heated seats with massage, premium audio system with cd changer and satellite radio. Added later were a Mercedes Bluetooth module and a K40 Calibre Radar/Laser Protection system with remote control (this is integrated into the car and very hard to detect) that originally cost over $2,500 with installation. I specifically searched for a 2007 SL55 (they only made 587 that year) for her because it had received a host of upgrades over the previous version of the car. Some of the biggest upgrades included a bump in power to 510 horsepower at 6,100 RPM (with 531 ft-lbs of torque at 2,600 RPM), new front bumper design, revised grill, LED tail lights, larger 2-piece brake rotors, suspension revisions, and steering rack revisions. All of these changes add up in a big way making this car much more refined. The ride quality is a perfect compromise between sporty and luxurious. On the highway, you can cruise in the comfort setting which soaks up the bumps and is very comfortable. When you're feeling sporty you can press the ABC Sport (Active Body Control) button which then tightens up the suspension, steering, and gear change response. My wife just loves being able to put the hard top up and down quickly and drives it like the “little old lady from Pasadena”. So, whoever buys it will end up with a great car that has never required anything other than routine maintenance and replacement of normal wear items. No accidents ever. Only issues with the paint are a small touched-up scratch on the trunk (which was there when we bought it) and small stone chips around the grill. Overall, it is simply a gorgeous car for the mileage and year. Car comes with all of the original owner’s manuals and case, factory AMG floormats, and both key fobs. We have a clean and clear title in our names with no liens.
