Up for bid is this 1966 Honda 305 Scrambler. It hasn't been on the road since 1987. Some of the things you should know is that the tank has a dent in it (right side-you can see it in the picture) and it has rust holes on the bottom of it. The sediment bowl on the bottom of the fuel petcock is missing. The exhaust pipes look good but the right side has a hole in it on the bottom of the pipe (you can't see it unless you bend down to look for it). The tires are cracked. The battery won't take a charge. We did have it running by siphoning gas from a gas can down into the carbs. It fired right up, but ran rich at lower RPM's (probably needs carbs cleaned after all these years). Due to the condition of the tank we were unable to ride it. The clutch seemed to function properly and it shifted through all the gears while it was running on the center stand. We ran it for about 20 minutes. There were no knocks or weird engine noises, other than the exhaust leak at the hole in the pipe. The speedometer shows 8969 miles. That's pretty much all I've done to it since I bought it. I was planning on restoring it, however my wife and I have decided to move and I won't have the garage space that I have now so a restoration is not feasible where we're going.
