This is surely one of the nicest examples of this very rare bike in existence. Complete frame up restoration completed four years ago, with meticulous attention down to the smallest details, including hardware. Bike looks and performs fantastic in every way. The original speedo showed just over 20,000 miles (which I cannot verify for certain), and I have put a little over 400 more on it since the restoration was completed. The top end of the engine was completely rebuilt with a fresh bore, new Suzuki pistons, and a full valve job. The bottom end was in great shape, and left alone--the reliability of this portion of these engines is legendary. Changes from stock are few, and all for the better. Electronic ignition, upgraded stator/regulator, and Progressive fork springs all add to the enjoyment while being invisible to the eye. Wire spoked alloy wheels were sourced from an earlier GS, because in my opinion real motorcycles have spoked wheels! A pair of NOS, never mounted original cast rims is included with the sale, should you choose to return it to the stock appearance. The 18 inch rear wheel is unique to this model and almost impossible to find in any condition, much less new. Negative issues are minimal, and limited to being cold blooded during start up due to lean jetting of the era, and a left turn signal that works intermittently (the right is fine, go figure...). This bike is sold with a 100% guarantee upon pick up--if you are not satisfied for any reason, your money will be returned in full, including the deposit.
