Overview: Here is very rare and desirable 1962 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible that we just took in trade. This is a very solid driver currently that needs some work. This is a hard car to describe, as it is fine for a fun driver that you don?t have to worry about. To be a show car it would new paint, new interior, some chrome and a few items fixed. We sold this car 5 years ago for over $45K but the owner left the car outside in California for those 5 years and didn?t take care of it. It is a very rare car that is fully loaded with options including factory A/C and rare bucket seats. It has been a California car its whole life and almost totally rust free with perfect original floors. Here is your chance to get a great buy on a very desirable, hard to find Cadillac. This car would be a $60K car with some TLC or great car to enjoy as it is and work on as you go! Exterior: The car is finished in its original color of Netune Blue and has an old paint job. It looks great from ten feet away but upon close inspection the paint has a lot of flaws like cracking in the hood and trunk several chips here and there. The body is very nice on the car and is 99 percent rust free with the exception of some small bubbling on the edge of the trunk lid. The floors are original and in perfect condition. The chrome on the car mostly all very nice but some pieces are in need of rechroming. Interior: The interior is showing its age with rip in the passenger seat and a couple cracks in the dash. Again, it is fine for a driver but to be super nice, it would need to be redone. Every thing works in the car except for the power locks, clock and the a/c needs to be serviced. The car does have a very new white top and top boot. Inside the trunk is finished off very nicely but does have some stains in the trunk material. Mechanically: The car runs and drives very well. It has is original 390ci engine that sounds great. The previous owner recently spent a lot on money on the car mechanically. It could still use some attention in my opinion as it has an electric fuel pump, the transmission makes alittle noise but shifts fine and the steering is not as tight as it should be. Under the hood is actually very nicely detailed and looks great.
