For sale is a 54 3100. THIS IS A REALLY COOL PICKUP THAT IS BEING OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! It is an older restoration on what looks to be a pretty damn solid truck. The cab corner gussets on the underneath side are starting to rust but have not started to bubble on the outside of the corner itself. Pictures include a soft magnate on the cab corners to show they are not all mudded up. There are also pictures of the soft magnate on the lower cowls to show how solid the pickup is. There is one spot on the passengers door that looks there is some filler cracking, but that's about it. The floorboards have only surface rust on them. It has plenty of chips and scratches from being used since the paint was done. The paint is old enough not to be a base/clear job. It does have some orange peel, but does shine very nice and shows some great patina. The engine was rebuilt 6 years ago by the previous owner and runs great. It was upgraded to a spin on oil filter and is mounted on the firewall. I have only owned it for a short period of time and have not put very many miles on it. But the last few days I have been using it to check cattle, and drove it to town and back today, ( around 30 mi round trip), she ran great. The heater coil went out and the lines were just looped around. It has been upgraded to 12v, all gauges and wipers ect, have been upgraded to 12v. The only gauge that doesn't work is the speedo. I put a brand new battery in it last week. The 3 spd column linkage for some reason acts like it is 63 years old, and shifting from 1st to 2nd can be tricky if you get in a hurry. Once you get the hang of it you are fine. The front seat was replaced with a split bench out of what looks like a mid 80's Buick. It give some nice cushion to a lumber wagon of a ride. All in all this is a really cool fun pickup that is nice enough to show, but not too nice to actually use it for what it was built for. It is not real significant, but it is there. I have met my limit on pictures and can't seem to delete one to add a picture of it.
