I am selling my 1973 BMW R75/5 toaster tank. It's the SWB model. It's a very solid running bike. I have taken it on a couple of 500 mile weekend trips and she was reliable and smooth. She's got her imperfections, but not bad for a 44 year old bike. All the lights and signals work. I can only estimate the mileage. The speedometer works, but I bought it in 2014 and the odometer wasn't working then (very common from what I understand). I was told it had approximately 32000 miles when I took ownership. The tach works, but the needle is broken so you can only use the short stub. I have included pictures of the gages. The sliding switch cover over the key hole is missing. I purchased a new one, but never installed it. I will throw that in. I don't have the key for the steering lock or the seat. It has always been garaged and has been stored in my basement for the winter months. There is paint chipped off the front fender and the fiberglass is damaged on the back fender. There is a quarter sized dent on the front right side of the gas tank and a few paint chips, but the chrome panels are in good shape. The mufflers are in good shape, but the crossover pipe is a little rough. No leaks or holes though. The rear end/spline was serviced by the previous owner in 2012. I had new floats, float pins and needles put in in 2015. Also both wheel bearings packed, valves adjusted and carbs synched. It got a new seat and center stand in 2014. The front tire is good and the rear tire has at least one more year on it. I love the look of the bike, but just don't ride her as much as I should, so it's time to pass her on.
