we have here a 1959 vw beetle in original paint. A beautiful patina rat rod. PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURES!!!! NO MOTOR!!!! I used to drive this everyday but the motor was pulled for another project. This car has been completely gone through. This beauty sits on a 2" narrowed adjustable beam with 2" drop spindles in the front, in the rear the spring plates have been notched and lowered two clicks in the back. All four tires are brand new and a matching spare is included. Brake system is completely new. All hard lines and soft lines have been replaced. Master and brake cylinders replaced. Brand new shoes and drums have been turned. New axle boots, seals and new bearings Floor pan quarters have been replaced with another 59 donor I had. Floor pan sections were epoxied and SMS into place....they are solid. For your information...previously in its life, it must have had the pan swapped out with a different pan because of different number. however the number stamped in the front of the car matches the title. Interior has been completely gone through. The original seat vinyl was taken off so newer horse hair and foam padding could be installed. The original vinyl was reinstalled on the seats. The only part that wasn't recovered was the rear seat backrest section, which is still bare springs(I was waiting to find original vinyl) 12 volt conversion has been completed except for the wipers. That wiring will need to be sorted out, if your wish. Headlights work and brake lights work. turn signals not working at the moment a new switch will be needed, if you wish, or you can just stick your arm out the window like I did.(For the old school effect) Tranny has been clearanced for a more modern and bigger motor. New Throw out Bearing. No horn. Most of the car is original patina. There are some rust holes down in the lower quarters by the running boards. PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURES! Underneath the car by the rear bumper, the mounts are gone, however the rear bumper was welded into place. THIS IS A 58 YEAR OLD CAR!! It gets A LOT of attention whereever it goes. I won first place with this car in the only show I placed it in. Ive tried to list everything I can about this car. There are bound to be a few things Ive forgotten.
