I am selling my 1999 Chevy Astro AWD. I’ve done a ton of work to this van, and she’s my baby. I am selling because I am moving out of state and can’t bring both my van and my truck. I converted this van into an excursion/camping vehicle, and it runs great. Super clean interior. AC and heater both work. Has a tape deck, radio, and CD player. Power windows, locks, and front driver and passenger chair. Also has cruise control. I relocated the second row bucket seat from behind the driver to a third row bucket seat on the passenger side. Behind the driver seat, I built a storage box I use to hold my camping gear, and I put a mattress on it to sleep when I’m out in the wild. The storage box is included with the van. When I bought the van, the radiator had a leak. I installed a new radiator and hoses. I replaced the air filter, spark plugs, and headlights while I was there. The previous owner and myself have been religious with regular oil changes. The van also has a hitch with a 2” receiver. I installed 4” lift kit from Overland Vans (see L9095-4LK at http://www.overlandvans.com/0104_liftkits.html). This kit increases front and rear ride height 4-5" and provides clearance for 31" tires. The rear lift is entirely suspension with new HD leaf springs and shackles. The front lift is a combination 2” subframe spacer kit, 3” suspension lift from reindexed torsion keys and new new torsion bars. I replaced the front and rear shocks for longer travel (Rancho RS5000 series shocks). The van has a full set of 5 (including spare) 31” BFG Mud Terrain T/A KM2 tires from Discount Tire. I bought the coverage on these tires, so any flats will be repaired or replaced by Discount Tire at no cost. I bought these tires in September, and they still have less than 250 miles on them. The van has the LT package with the aluminium alloy wheels. While installing the lift, I replaced every wearable item on the front suspension and steering linkages. Both sides have new upper and lower ball joints (Moog Problem Solvers). Also installed new drag link (Moog Problem Solver), tie-rods (Moog Problem Solvers), steering idler arms (Moog Problem Solvers), upper and lower control arm bushings (Moog), and stabilizer bar (Dorman). I splurged for the Moog components (way higher quality than OEM) so I wouldn’t have to worry while taking the van off-road. Upper ball joints were relocated to under the upper control arm to correct wheel camber from the torsion bar lift and installed Moog camber bolts for fine adjustment. While I was at it, I replaced both front CV axels (Cardone) and transaxles coming from the front differential (http://www.cardone.com/Products/Product-Detail?productId=661233&p=rock&jsn=1). I bought a spare CV axel for repair in the field that is included with the van. Front disc brakes have new pads, and the rotors are still in great shape. When I bought the van, the transfer case was trashed. I got the transfer case rebuilt at Wade Transmission & Gear in Dallas, and I installed a new transfer case shift motor. I also bought a spare transfer case and had it rebuilt. The spare transfer case is included with the van. I had the front and rear differentials serviced at Dallas Differential & Gear, and they said everything is in great shape. I had the van aligned at Dallas Brake & Alignment. I built and installed the custom brush guard you see in the pictures, and it turned out badass.
