Uses a powerful 350 engine and the engine is original with an automatic transmission. See the clean Carfax / AutoFax report in the pictures section and we can email anyone a copy too. Note: This 1979 Corvette is still the original factory Dark Green color which is one of the rarest of the color choices for that year as far as production numbers go. There were only 2,426 made in this Dark Green color which is the 2nd rarest color with the rarest being Bright Yellow (2,357 made). This compares to the most popular color Black (10,465 made) so the Dark Green color is over 4 times as rare as the black 1979 models. And comparing overall numbers the Dark Green model was only 4.5% of the total 1979 Corvette production. Inspection details and follow up work done January, 2017: Doors lock and key works. Both headlight and openers work. The left headlight lid stays up when you first turn off the car but when you turn the key on and off quick again it closes. Window, seat adjust and door locks are manual. There is a tear in the driver seat that maybe can be seen in picture. Correct Carburetor was $300 Newly All Rebuilt Jan. 2017 (this was after video above was shot). New Tune-Up January, 2017. Video Note: The video was done this fall before the recent Jan. tune-up so it is starting and running very nice now. Horn works. Interior lights do work. Radio works. Clock does work as the red 2nd hand does turn around. Glove box opens and closes normal. Blower for heat and AC works A1. Air conditioning is all complete and compressor looks all good so we imagine it just needs a re-charge. Heater works excellent. Vacuum line we replaced at Tune-Up. Valve Cover Gaskets Replaced at Tune -Up. All original inside including Catalytic Converter - we can replace that with a pipe if new owner wishes. Battery New August, 2016. Blinkers work. Wipers are New. Work Good. Right side rear side marker wasn't working and we replaced bulb. Working now and all others appear to be working and on. Took several pictures of undercarriage which we can email and there is no bad or even medium surface rust anywhere. Just normal light surface rust here and there. Paint is not oxidized. See nice pictures that were taken after wash and hand buff. NOTE: Much original paperwork is included: Original Owners Manual, original warranty papers, original maintenance schedule and - rare to find the original Build Sheet too! There are probably 1-2" of receipts, warranties too from over the years that go with the Corvette too in a box along with several polishes and waxes from over the years. So someone has always taken good care of this classic. Original Tachometer does work with only 63,804 original miles. This 1979 classic Corvette is guaranteed to be running real good or better on load out.
