2009 Subaru WRX AWD Turbo****flood damaged title****Manual trans. 75,007 miles I purchased this car from an online auction company knowing that it had flood damage and it was listed as non-running. I was hoping I would get lucky and only have to replace some electronics and maybe do some minor mechanical repairs. I started with replacing the ECM, Theft control module, and ignition switch that reads the key. Drop car at dealership to have all of these items programs together with dealer scan tool. I had already drained and replaced old gasoline in fuel tank. The car started up immediately but had a knocking noise coming from the engine. This is the part that I was not planning on. I removed engine and disassembled to find a spun rod bearing. I replaced crank, rod and main bearings, and the bad connecting rod. Started the car up and it sounded perfectly normal. After test driving the car 7 to 10 miles for whatever reason a knocking noise started again. The enginehad spun another rod bearing for whatever reason. Perhaps it was something I did wrong, I don't know. The engine is currently removed from the car and completely disassembled. All pieces are included and will be placed inside the vehicle before shipping. When driving the vehicle the transmission functioned normally, Power windows and radio worked, Electric seats worked, and the vehicle drove like it should. The interior has been thoroughly detailed even though it is dusty now from being in storage. The carpet seats in the headliner were removed from vehicle. Seat covers were removed from seats. Everything was thoroughly shampooed and cleaned. Interior is in good condition. This car just turned into a project that I just don't have time for anymore. I have had many vehicles shipped to me using "U-ship". It's easy to get one online shipping quote from their site.
