Vehicle Detail
Up for no reserve auction is a 1977 Cadillac Coupe De Ville. This Cadillac has a fairly rare color combo of Edinburgh Green (Paint Code 49), with a Dark Green Partial Padded Roof (Color Code 49T), and White 50/50 split Leather with black carpet (Trim Code 113). The paint is in overall nice condition with a few minor scratches, dings, and other imperfections. The padded rood is also in nice condition for its age with little cracking. When I bought the car the seats were cracked pretty bad, so I sanded them down, filled the cracks, and redyed them using Leatherique Leather Products. They are not as perfect as new leather, but are 100 times better then before. The 425 cid runs very nice and the car drives and rides like a Cadillac should. The car has been driven little in the last few years and does have some lifter noise. The Climate Control works as it should with the auto fan, temp control, and auto air outlet changes all working well. The A/C does need charged. The man I bought it from said he charged it when he bought it, and over the next few years it slowly leaked out due to lack of use. The windows, locks, and drivers and passenger 6 way seats all work. The stereo works but the flap where the 8 track goes in is stuck down. Also the front speakers are not working, back speakers work fine. It is also missing the dome light cover on the drivers side "C" Pillar. The man I bought the car from said that his neighbor bumper tapped it as he pulled out of is driveway and it cracked the bumper fillers. They were replaced at that time except for the one that runs behind the bumper, they said they couldn't find one and it is missing. The tires have decent tread on them but are starting to weather checked. The exhaust is new from the catalytic converter back. All of the manuals and warranty booklets are with the car. The car was bought new by Walker Roofing Co of Lexington, NE from Malcom Motors also of Lexington, NE on 7/1/77. For the next 17years I am not sure it's history, but since 1994 it has had 3 owners till September when I bought the car to resell. The couple I bought the Cadillac from were in their early 80's, owned the car for the last nine years and only drove it in the summer months. This is a nice clean driver that I would not be afraid to get in and drive to the coast. Thanks for looking.
