Up for auction is my 1971 Volkswagen bus. It starts up right away, drives and shifts great, brakes well, and is mechanically sound. The body is pretty straight, with only minor dings and dents. The paint is mostly original with some overspray here and there. There is some rust in the rocker panels as shown in the photos, but this could be fixed. The floors are solid and look great. Some of the rear interior panels and rear armrests were removed by the previous owner, but I've got them and will include them with the sale. The middle bench seat is missing. The windshield, back glass, and side glass seals are relatively new. The glass looks to be original and is in good shape as well. The undercarriage is very solid and still has much of the original undercoating. There is some rust under the battery tray, but nothing major. The tires are relatively new and have excellent tread. The heater ducts have been disconnected, but could be reattached. Front lights, turn signals, and brake lights work as they should. The gas gage doesn't work and I believe needs a new sending unit.
