It is time for a bigger boat on a bigger body of water. I hate to sell her, however I am moving onto a more long term blue-water sailing lifestyle and this is more of coastal cruiser/day sailor. The boat itself is in very good solid boat. In its earlier years it has sailed around the Florida keys and then across to the Bahamas and down that chain. Since my purchase in 2007 has only been used in fresh water in the lake Erie area. It is a heavy VHull boat which makes it an easy to single hand. all of the lines come back to the cockpit, so you will not have to go out on the deck in heavy weather. In between sails boat has been kept on trailer to reduce the maintenance required if it was left in the water. You can launch/retrieve this boat with alone in about 5 minutes. Last refitting was in 2010, which included awlgrip paint both top and bottom. Boat was stripped down to the fiberglass, all soft spots fixed, custom, all windows and hardware openings where sealed with epoxy to prevent future water intrusion. Window frames were replaced with custom windows, which I CNC'd myself. Standing rigging was also replaced/upgraded. Interior has been fitted with new vinyl on the walls, while the floors have new carpet installed. Head has been rebuilt and all of the internal PVC plumbing has been refitted. Two house batteries, and one Engine battery, which are separated and switchable. Trailer was rebuilt and painted in 2010. at that time brakes where upgraded to electric units and the wheel bearings were dissembled and repacked. Taillights were all replaced with sealed LED units. Boat displaces about 5000lbs empty while the trailer is 1700, so you will need a vehicle that can tow around 8000-9000 lbs. There are are a few things the boat needs, The tiller could use a fresh coat of Spar Varnish, and the boat itself could use a good cleaning, but that is pretty typical.
