Hi all. Selling my 2007 VW Passat Wagon. This is the super rare 3.6 VR6 with 4Motion all wheel drive. I'd be keeping this car forever, but it was sideswiped a couple of weeks ago while my son and I were at Citifield. Geico decided to total it. But rather let them scrap it, I bought it back from them in the hopes that someone will decide to save it or use the drivetrain for a swap. The car could be fixed with the driver's side doors and front fender being replaced and a little work on the rear 1/4 panel. There's a light crease there. It also will need a driver's side outer taillight. There's a hole in it now, but it still functions since its LED. The car still runs and drives 100%. This is an extremely powerful car with 280 horsepower. It's great in the snow too. Everything works inside and out, but once in a while the power door lock button on the drivers side door refuses to work. It also, since the accident has blown the blower motor resistor pack, which I replaced not too long ago, so the blower only works on high. It's super easy and cheap to fix, but I'll leave that to the next owner. It also sometimes takes a few time to start with the keyfob since the accident. My VW tech friend says it's a microswitch behind the crazy starting/keyfob thing. It always starts but might take multiple attempts before it'll crank. There are 3 factory keyfob sets btw. There are 18 inch wheels and tires from an Audi A8 on it. Also stereo was replaced with a Pioneer CD stereo. All speakers work great. Moonroof works perfect, ac works, heated seats work, power lift gate is flaky now. Goes up with the remote about half the time, doesn't go down by itself. Seats are perforated heated fake leather and are near perfect. No engine lights on. Was always run with premium gas. I hope someone will feel like fixing it as its a great car. If not, swap the drivetrain into a Golf, GTI, or Jetta and kill mustangs and camaros with it. The first 3 pics are of the driver's side after the accident, the rest are pre accident. Engine, transmission, awd system, and suspension and steering are all 100% I'm starting the auction at exactly what I paid geico for it back. Pay whatever you feel it's worth. Geico told me the title will not be branded salvage since it's over 8 years old. On Oct-15-16 at 20:15:34 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions. I replaced the front brake rotors and pads about 5000 miles ago. These are the same brakes as the VW Golf R32. They are monstrous. The battery is an Interstate, new over the winter and is the correct size for the 3.6 liter VR6. The stereo is a Pioneer with Bluetooth and iPhone compatibility. I believe this car can drive anywhere in the country, but it does have an occasional cranking problem. It's started the last dozen or so time on the first press of the key fob until today when I had to press it a second time. To describe the no crank situation - you press the key fob in the ignition and hear a click - no cranking of the starter, sometimes it will take a bunch of tries before it'll crank. Once it cranks it starts right up. I've sprayed a bunch of electrical contact cleaner in the slot and that's seemed to help. Just being upfront with everything. As I said whatever the car goes for I'm ok with. Just want it going into good hands.
