Description:
This truck drives well. It drives straight and doesn't pull to the left or right. There are no hesitations, or any strange noises. The truck shifts through all of the gears. The engine is nice and quiet, no leaks, there is no smoke. The windows, heat and a/c all work fine. The tires are decent all around. The interior is in nice shape it looks good with normal minimal wear, the radio works.
Now for the outside and the mechanicals:
The left rear door is stuck shut. There is heavy rust on the bottom of the doors and bedside. The frame has rust on it, but no holes or cracks. There are rust holes on the body and undercarage, I have taken pictures of all of them. None of this has effected the trucks driveabiltiy. The check engine light is on, the code stored is 717 and 715, this means that the turbine speed sensor signal is not being received. the transmission still shifts through all of the gears. I've driven it over 100 miles and it always performs fine. I found the wire for the speed sensor but I could not see a place to plug it in. My thought is that the transmission was replaced with one that doesnt have an external speed sensor for the turbine and so the computer is compensating by calculating the turbine speed through the engines rpms or the speed sensor is internal. In anycase the transmissions performance is not affected. The over drive on/off button still works fine and all gears engage including overdrive. The 4x4 is working fine in low and high range. The A.B.S. light is also lit because of the right front wheel speed sensor. The brakes feel fine, they stop the truck easily. The truck drives down the road quite well, I feel a small vibration at 60mph but other than that it is great to drive. I was surprised at how comfortable it is to drive. The engine is suprisingly quiet, most of these 5.4L tritons are noisy. This one is very smooth and quiet.
This vehicle DOES NOT COME Md inspected for MD buyers. THEREFORE I CAN NOT SELL IT TO A MARYLAND BUYER, UNLESS IT WILL BE USED FOR OFFROAD USE. CAN NOT ISSUE A temp tag for a maryland resident because it's not inspected. That only applies to M.D. residents. Out of state residents can get a temp tag and can have the vehicle inspected in their own state at their own expense. All inspection repairs will be the buyers responsibility. If you are not a maryland resident you will pay the price you bid plus a $200.00 dealer processing fee and $35 for the temp tag. If you want a 60 day temp tag (insurance is required). Non marylnd resdents will register their vehicle on their own in their home state. Remember we will pick you up from bwi airport 24hrs a day.
Maryland residents:
You will be required to pay 6% sales tax plus all mva fees plus a 200.00 dealer processing fee. As of 01/01/2015 maryland M.V.A. fees for maryland buyers are as follows: (1) tax 6% (2) title fee $100.00 (3) 2 year hard tags for a car less than 3700lbs. $135.00 for light trucks vans suvs and cars over 3700lbs the tags are $187.00 (4) lien fee this only applies if you owe money on the car $20.00 (5) temp tag $35.00 (car must be md inspected in order for dealership to issue temp tag or any license plates to Maryland residents.) marylnd residents will not be able to get tags for uninspected vehicles until they get them paased through inspection. The use of a tow truck at the buyers expense and resulting repares at buyers expence may be required. look in listing body in the discription to see if the vehicle is Maryland inspected. For vehicles going to out of state, buyers do not need to be Maryland inspected to receive a temp tag.
