This Dodge pick up truck is a very RARE find! It is a 1945 dodge 1/2 ton WC truck and from what I could find, is a very low number production. Between 1942 and 1945 there were a very few number of these trucks produced due to the war effort. It was called the "blackout" model in 1945 which basically means from what i can gather, all of the parts and trim that were chrome plated in other comparable years (1946 etc) were painted due to the war.

This is a nice solid RARE survivor that really is part of american history. Cosmetically, this truck looks very good for being a survivor. I really videoed and pictured any blemish I saw ( small dings dents, rust along bottom of tailgate etc) so make sure to check them out so you can see how well and solid this truck has survived the years. The interior is complete. I was amazed at how well the dash, guages, and interior of this truck looked. The windshield crank is there as well as the windshield components but should be lubed to crank in and out. Notice The really neat war time data production tag on the passenger side door, Very cool to see. I videoed and pictured the entire interior well so you can really get a good appreciation of what it is. the frame looks good and underside looks good.

My intention was to restore this truck but I have to many projects to get to it so i am offering it for sale. The engine was stuck when I tried it and I have not tried to oil it and free it yet. the trans shifts all gears and the clutch holds. The truck rolls very easily. The wood in the box is gone. The miles on the truck show 44139 and I was told it was the actual miles on the truck but as it is over ten years old, I am selling it miles exempt. This woud make a great and extremely deisrable restoration keeping it all original as it is a very RARE year and model being a 1/2 ton or this could make a really awsome patina hot rod etc and have a great original solid steel body and know what you are starting with.
