1982 Nissan 280ZX GL TURBO Automatic. - 50,400 mi. California Car! A true survivor! This is a two-owner California car in beautiful, rust-free original condition. This car was first purchased from Forrest Datsun Imports in Redwood City, California. It spent it's life with the original owner, a car collector, in Belmont, California until I purchased the car in 2004. Since then, I have been meticulously caring for it in San Jose, California. It has been garaged in it's entire life! No accidents or paintwork! Included is the original purchase paperwork, including window sticker, pre-inventory inspection, warranty, sales contract, and owner's manual. Exterior The Brown metallic paint is original and has an awesome shine! The only flaws are some clear-coat scratches on the hood (see pics). The body is nearly perfect save for three or four tiny dings. I never drove it in the rain. Absolutely No Rust! The emblems, moldings, handles, window glass, pinstripe, lettering, t-top panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in super condition. The wheels show a bit of wear on the chrome surface, but otherwise they are in great condition. No road rash. The BF Goodrich tires have less than 2,000 miles on them. Interior On the inside, the brown & gold interior interior still looks amazing. The dashboard is flawless. The leather/suede seats are in superb condition with the suede showing some slight wear. All the interior panels show practically brand new. I did have two rear panels and headliner re-covered when the foam backing deteriorated. The carpeting is in great, plush condition (I replaced the rear-deck carpet). The console plate for the automatic shifter has a ding and a scratch as you can see in one of the pics. All the gauges and indicators are perfect. The original radio works good but has some static when adjusting the volume and the cassette deck isn't functioning properly (the belts are bad). The automatic antenna, though not original, works great. The rear speaker are not original, but the original covers are intact. The A/C was converted R134 and blows blistering cold. The heat and automatic temperature settings work perfectly. Mechanical Mechanically, it starts quickly, idles smoothly, pulls hard, and drives straight. The engine compartment is nearly stock and all of the servicing is up to date - a/c, belts, coolant, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, It passes California's strict smog tests every two years. The 3-speed Auto tranny shifts smoothly. All of the other mechanical functions are on point. * * * * I am extremely reluctant to sell this amazing car, but alas, I need to make space. What a great opportunity to own this classic automobile!
